Tranmere story

Dave Challinor is an English former central defender and football manager. He joined Tranmere Rovers from Bromborough Pool in 1994 and later moved to Stockport County in January 2002.

After spells with Bury, Altrincham, Cammell Laird and Colwyn Bay, Challinor moved into management. He led AFC Fylde and Hartlepool United before taking charge of Stockport County, guiding the club back to the Football League as National League champions in 2022.
